Oil leak help

i've got an '06 4wd with 72,000 miles on it. I started having this oil leak, which i thought was the filter, so i took off the filter, cleaned off the plate, and put a new filter on and it still leaks. I took a closer look while the truck was running and the leak is coming from behind the filter plate. Can anyone help me out on what part this may be or what may be wrong? Thanks!!

The part you have circled is the oil cooler.

That part is the oil cooler. The bad thing is that the only way to get the seal for it, is to buy the whole oil cooler it self. They don't list the seal seperately, and we have never had any luck matching one up at our dealer. They aren't cheap though.

darn. well, i'll start checking around, but in the mean time, i'm going to try and tighten the center stud in case it's backed out and that's all that's causing it since last time i didn't change my own oil they tightened the snot out of the filter and i had trouble getting it off.
for anyone else interested in this thread, i found more info on this over at the armada forum....

Just be careful not to over tighten that stud. It goes in to the aluminum upper oil pan. You could possibly break the stud off in the pan, or strip the threads in the pan itself. Give it a shot though. If the last place over tightened the filter it might have backed it out a little when changed it last time.

On mine it was the oil filter housing that had to be replaced.
